What does global excellence mean within your field today, and how does it relate to the mission of the Global Spotlight Awards 2026?

Global excellence in cybersecurity means creating secure, reliable, and innovative solutions that protect people and businesses worldwide. It is much in line with the mission of the awards by recognising leaders who create real impact at a global level.

What inspired you to join the Global Spotlight Awards 2026 judging panel, and what value do you believe you bring to the evaluation process?

I was inspired by the opportunity to recognise innovation and support talented professionals. I bring technical industry experience, judgment, and a strong focus on quality, security, and real-world impact.

How does cybersecurity innovation contribute to the broader definition of global excellence in digital transformation?

Cybersecurity innovation builds trust, protects data, and allows businesses to grow securely in the digital /AI world. Without security, digital transformation cannot succeed.

What makes a modern security framework like Zero Trust truly effective at enterprise scale?

Zero Trust is effective when it verifies every user and device, limits unnecessary access, and continuously monitors activity. Strong identity controls, automation, and visibility tools make it work at a larger scale.

When judging cybersecurity-related submissions for the Global Spotlight Awards, what defines excellence and trustworthiness?

Excellence means solving real security problems with innovation and measurable results. Trustworthiness means transparency, reliability, compliance, and strong protection for users and their data.

How are evolving cyber threats shaping innovation and resilience across global organisations?

Evolving threats require organisations to enhance and improve security tools, automate defences, and strengthen fast recovery plans. This helps to create more resilient businesses that can adapt quickly to new risks/challenges.

Closing the Spotlight

Shyam Gajula’s perspective highlights a core principle of the Global Spotlight Awards 2026: innovation must be built on trust, resilience, and real-world effectiveness.

His focus on identity-centric security, continuous risk management, and enterprise-scale protection underscores the critical role cybersecurity plays in enabling progress across technology, AI, and data-driven systems. As the awards continue to recognise global leaders, insights like these ensure the judging process remains grounded in impact, accountability, and long-term value.
